Thamesgiving in Newport: Thursdays in November
On these dates, shoppers, museum-goers, coffee, tea & cocktail sippers and diners will be treated to special holiday treats and window/sidewalk displays, and each store or restaurant will choose a community giving-back option that is aligned with their mission. Fall Lighthouse Cruises – November 4, 2023 – December 16, 2023
It’s a narrated lighthouse tour around magnificent, scenic Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. You will enjoy panoramic views of Rose Island Lighthouse, Castle Hill Light, Goat Island Lighthouse and more.
Sparkling Lights at The Breakers: An Outdoor Magical Wonderland
Various evenings, November 17 – December 30, 2023
For the fourth year, the exterior of The Breakers and its landscape will be awash in thousands of festive colored lights illuminating the grounds’ paths and trees. The gardens will be decorated in different themes as holiday music fills the air. Walk through a dazzling 50-foot-long tunnel of light, see illuminated snowmen, reindeer and many more sparkling surprises.
Newport Illuminated Boat Parade – November 24, 2023
Spectators can view the dazzling display of nautical holiday spirit from many points on the Newport waterfront as the decorated vessels circumnavigate Newport Harbor.
Santa Magic at Long Wharf – November 25, 2023
Come join the shops at Long Wharf for their 3rd annual tree lighting. This is a free community event with Santa. Tree lighting, pictures with Santa, kids crafts, letters to Santa, music and much more.
