Hayrides – Weekends in October
Head to Pachet Brook Tree Farm, a 90-acre family-run farm in Tiverton, for a 30-minute hayride through the fields and woods decorated for the season, ending at the pumpkin patch.Hayrides are also offered at Escobar’s Highland Farm in Middletown.

Pumpkin Palooza – October 12th
Looking for a perfect fall day? This will be a day filled with Giant pumpkins, food trucks, free corn mazes, family fun and more at Frerichs Farm in Warren for their annual Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off. Ride the Magic Pumpkin Coach, make your own scarecrow, stroll the mum fields, choose your own pumpkin and so much more. More details!
Broadway Street Fair – October 12th
This year’s event will span across Broadway from Equality Park to Marlborough Street, Washington Square, and Long Wharf, filled with local artists, live music, food, and more. See vendors and more

Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival – October 19 – 20, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Honoring the “Harvest of the Sea,” the Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival offers fresh, local seafood. Contains fish tacos, lobster rolls, stuffies, chowder, fried calamari, and more amazing fish with live music and tents! All info!

Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run – Sunday, October 20th
Once a year, pedestrians and runners are allowed to cross the Pell Bridge on foot during the Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run. Open to both runners and walkers, the run is nearly a four-mile excursion from Jamestown to Newport. More info!
Menagerie at the Mansion – Friday, October 25th
Step inside Newport’s most iconic mansion for an evening of mystery and intrigue this Halloween. Celebrate Fall’s most convivial holiday at The Vanderbilt with Menagerie at the Mansion, an ode to Lady Caroline Astor’s lavish New York City fêtes in the 1800s. Should be such a fancy spooky time!
